What do ACH File Converter users say?

Feedback from payroll, treasury, accounting, and payment teams.

Converting our payment spreadsheet into an ACH file is much easier now. We can import a CSV or Excel file, map the columns, review the entries, and generate the NACHA file without changing the spreadsheet workflow our team already uses.

The validator makes it much easier to find problems before we send a file. It checks the file structure, routing numbers, entry hash, control totals, and trace numbers, then shows us where the errors are instead of leaving us to inspect every record manually.

Being able to open and edit an ACH file has been very useful when we need to correct a small issue. We can inspect the records, update the affected fields, and verify the totals without rebuilding the entire file from the original source.

The browser-based processing was an important consideration for us. Our original bank data stays on the local device instead of being uploaded for processing, so we can use the conversion and validation tools while keeping sensitive payment files within our own environment.

We regularly need to compare ACH files, combine batches, split larger files, and mask sensitive information. Having those tools together in one place makes routine file work faster and reduces the number of separate utilities our operations team has to use.

What is an ACH/NACHA file?

An ACH file is a fixed-width text file used to submit batches of US bank-account payments. Each record is exactly 94 characters. The file contains a File Header, one or more batches, Entry and optional Addenda records, Batch Controls, a File Control and padding. This site creates and analyzes files; your bank or ACH processor is responsible for transmitting and processing payments.
